Tensira was founded in 2009 following the meeting of Hamidou Diallo, of Guinean descent, and Tuulia Mäkinen Diallo, a native of Finland
Tuulia, the artistic director, lives in Paris, which remains an eternal
source of inspiration for her creations. She holds a degree in Marketing and Textile Product Management from Mod’Spe in Paris. She began her career at Jean Paul Gaultier in New York, then joined the Tod’s Group at Roger Vivier, a French luxury accessories house in Paris. Her creative universe is also inspired by art, music, architecture, fashion and her intercultural connection with Guinea, the country where Tensira’s products are made. Today, Tensira’s designs are recognized worldwide.
Hamidou, quadrilingual and with more than ten years of business experience, holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and a Master’s in Economics from Paris XII University. He grew up in a creative environment, inspired by his mother, an indigo dyeing artist for over 40 years, who was his first source of inspiration for founding Tensira. Driven by a strong conviction to make “Made in Africa, Made in Guinea” a force on the international market, Hamidou is a committed entrepreneur and a visionary innovator.
