It all began with a meeting—two paths, two cultures. Hamidou Diallo, born and raised in Guinea, and Tuulia Mäkinen Diallo, from Finland, founded the brand with a shared ambition: to celebrate a unique artisanal heritage while embedding it in a sustainable approach.

For Hamidou, creating Tensira was a natural choice. After studying management and marketing in Finland, he decided to honor Guinean craftsmanship, developing it with precision and contributing to his country’s modernisation, while always respecting its traditions. Inspired from childhood by his mother, an indigo dyer for over 40 years, he carries a deeply human and committed vision.

Tuulia brings a unique artistic sensitivity: coming from the world of fashion, she creates from the heart, guided by emotion. Her universe is inspired by Parisian fashion and architecture, as well as daily life and family, infusing each collection with softness, elegance, and timelessness.

As husband and wife, life and business partners, they form a true duo united by a shared vision: to craft pieces that are sincere, beautiful, and enduring.
