At Tensira, overlay mattresses are among the most iconic and essential pieces. Available since the brand’s creation in 2009, they are made in 100% cotton, a natural fiber that makes them irresistible.
Over the years, our overlay mattresses also called bedrolls or throwbeds have been reinvented to meet your expectations! You can now order them in different sizes, options and in many beautiful fabrics.

Since Fall23, you can choose the filling of your choice: natural fiber, 100% non-treated cotton or our new alternative recycled microfiber filling, very practical, soft touch and light, and what the best you can wash it entirely in the machine!
Whatever the season: our blues, pastels, bold and neutral color palettes bring warmth and elegance into your homes. Tensira offers graphic patterns where stripes are a real link between each collection.
Timeless designs are also told in color. Indigo blue, because in the beginning there was indigo, the traditional West African dye. Blacks because they emphasize the essential. And finally, the beige & earth colors, reminiscent of clay and sand, warm and natural.
Each pattern is available in new colors and they can be combined to create a unique decoration.

- Discover the tufted overlay mattress/bedroll, a Tensira's timeless best-seller since 2009.
The elegant and original design, the high quality of the weave and the touch of the natural fiber make it unique. It is hand-tufted in Tensira’s workshops in Guinea.
With the recycled microfiber filling your bedroll is entirely machine washable.
- The overlay mattress with removable cover is another great and super practical option. You can easily remove the cover and wash it in the machine!

At Tensira, we think that the overlay mattress is an essential piece that will bring style to your interior.
Our advice : stack several of our throwbeds on a sofa, a bench or on a daybed and play with different patterns! We have selected for you a wide palette of colors and patterns that allow you to mix easily the bedrolls with each other.

How to properly care for your daybed mattresses ?
In order to preserve the original properties and the beauty of your mattresses, we recommend following these care instructions:
- Tufted overlay mattress filled with recycled microfiber:
Our new 100% recycled microfiber allows you to wash easily your mattress in the machine. We recommend to wash it at a temperature of 30°C.
- Tufted overlay mattress filled with cotton :
We recommend dry cleaning for the mattresses filled with our 100% natural fiber
- Overlay mattress filled with cotton and with a removable cover:
Our mattress with removable cover is the ideal product if you are looking for a 100% cotton filling and an easy to wash piece.
It is really practical as you can easily remove the cover and wash it in the machine at 30°C.
If needed, the inner mattress need to be dry cleaned.
